Kipling's, a luxury safari lodge situated at the mouth of the Ume River, accommodates a maximum of twenty guests in thatched chalets, with 8 metre high steep pitched roofs for cooling. Activities take place in the Matusadona National Park, one of the few refuges of the endangered black rhino.

For those wanting privacy and relaxation, houseboats are can be chartered, complete with captain and crew who will take care of your every need. There is a huge variety of boats available depending on your needs, ranging from accommodating two to four guests upwards on monohulls or catamarans. Tender boats are towed for fishing or for exploring the shoreline for game viewing.
